Effective
How we protect your information
- Every connection to this site is encrypted in transit. The site is served only over HTTPS.
- The application runs on infrastructure providers that hold independent security certifications and are audited against them.
- Social Security numbers entered on the application are passed to our client-management system for the funders’ review and are not stored by the website’s own systems.
- Analytics and advertising tools never run on the pages where you enter your application.
- The client portal signs you in with a one-time code sent to your email address. There is no password to steal or reuse.
- Access to client information is limited to the staff who need it for their work, and each member of staff signs in to the portal individually.
- Automated protections limit abusive traffic to the site.
- The funders we work with and the service providers we use are held to contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
What we will never do
Fraudsters sometimes pretend to be financing companies. Knowing what we would never do makes them easier to spot. We will never:
- Ask you to send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to get an application moving, to “release” funds or to “verify” an account.
- Ask for your full Social Security number, your online banking password or a sign-in code by email or text. The application collects your Social Security number only on the secure application page, and a sign-in code is for you to type into the site, never to read out to anyone.
- Pressure you to accept an offer on the spot or to keep an offer secret from your accountant or attorney.
- Contact you from an email address that does not end in @todaycapitalgroup.com.
If you are ever unsure whether a call, text or email really came from us, hang up or do not reply, and call us on the number published on this site, (818) 351-0225.
What you can do
- Keep the email account you use with us secure, with a strong, unique password and two-step verification. Anyone who can read that mailbox could request a sign-in code.
- Only enter application details on the secure application page you reach from this site or from the link we email you. Check the address bar.
- Read every financing agreement before you sign it, and ask us if anything is unclear.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your information or contacted you pretending to be us.
Reporting a security concern
If you believe you have found a security weakness in this site, or you think your information with us may have been exposed, email info@todaycapitalgroup.com with “Security” in the subject line. Tell us what you found, how to reproduce it and how to reach you. We read every report, we will acknowledge it, and we will not take action against anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it before making it public. Please do not access, change or download other people’s data while investigating.
